Is it Generally Known that TB is a Sexually Transmitted Disease?

No, it is not.  None of the medical text books that I've read mentions this issue.

TB is a highly infectious and deadly disease.  Common sense dictates that it is sexually transmitted.

Does Tuberculosis Cause Immune Deficiency?

Yes, not only does it cause immune deficiency, it can cause the complete collapse of the immune system in cases of full blown Miliary TB.  I have been stating this for many years to no avail.

However, recently, I read that a group of scientists have developed an asthma drug which copies the ability of TB to suppress the immune system. This proves that TB does, indeed, suppress the immune system.

Could Some Donated Blood Still be Contaminated?
